Pop-up Repair Shop - Clothing & Textiles

October 24, 2026 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Same day registration is required for this event, and space is limited. Ticketed registration will begin at 12:30 PM.

The East Brunswick Public Library and the East Brunswick Sustainability Task Force are holding a Pop-up Repair Shop for clothing and textiles in the library’s EB Create makerspace.

This community-based initiative aims to promote the repair of clothing and textiles rather than throwing them out. Community members can bring in items in need of repair to be mended thanks to the help of volunteer repairers. Examples of repairs can be pants with a tear in the knee, missing buttons,  and hems that have come undone.

Same day registration is required for this event, and space is limited. Ticketed registration will begin at 12:30 PM Saturday, October 24 during which time visitors will select a time slot for their repair to be completed.

There is no fee for repairs made, but if you are able, please donate a future-dated non-perishable food item in its original packaging. These donations will be donated to the Aldersgate Outreach Community Food Pantry.

Repair Cafes are being held internationally; to learn more go to www.repaircafe.org/en.
