Reading Services For Kids


Storytimes are a surefire way to introduce children to the satisfying world of books and libraries. Through these enriching and fun activities, kids can learn to view literature in a new, more vibrant way and enjoy themselves while doing so. Come and enjoy all that The Library has to offer. Please don't hesitate to ask a Youth Services Librarian for tips and recommendations on selecting books for your family.

Baking 'n' Books

Find out what's cooking at The Library. Bake a treat that you can eat fresh from the oven and listen to some delicious stories.
For children in 1st grade and up.

Bouncing Baby Time

Learn some new rhymes, songs, and stories at our special lapsit storytime just for infants and their caregivers.  For babies 0-12 months old with a caregiver.

Cinema, Stories, and Apps

A storytime with books, short films based on children's books, and special apps with the library's iPads.
For children ages 2 & up with an adult.

Yoga Fun

Listen to stories, practice yoga poses, and learn to take a few minutes of quiet time.  For children ages 2 years & up with an adult.

Country Club

Hear stories, create crafts, and make food from a different country each month.  For children in kindergarten and up.
