This page contains information about SBA's response to the 2012 hurricane and tropical storm season. Click on the NJ section in the middle of the page. Go to the bottom of the NJ page to find updates on locations where applicants can get assistance, because the hours and locations are highly likely to change.
Anyone wanting face-to-face assistance can go to one of the Disaster Recovery Centers (assistance for individuals and businesses). Business owners wanting a little more privacy or people who do not need to see FEMA can go to a Business Recovery Center. Anyone affected can go to any Center in the state; the locations in Middlesex are:
- Disaster Recovery Center, Sayreville Senior Center, 423 Main Street, Sayreville, NJ 08872 (9 a.m. - 7 p.m.; 7 days/week);
- Business Recovery Center, John F. Kennedy Library, 500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ 08854 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mon-Sat, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Sun)
And people who have specific SBA questions should call the 800# at 1-800-659-2955. This call center has a lot of information and technology at their fingertips and they are really good at assisting people over the phone or people can visit a recovery center and get help in person.
