Join The Library as it takes part in National Novel Writing Month this year with “write-ins” scheduled for teen and adult writers throughout November.

National Novel Writing Month challenges writers to begin a 50,000 word novel on midnight, Nov. 1, and finish it by 11:59 p.m. Nov. 30. The Library is kicking the event off with a party in Meeting Room 1 on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2-5 p.m. Following that participants are welcome to attend four scheduled “write-ins.” Writers can bring their lap tops and write, talk about writing, or share their work with others. There will be power outlets for lap tops and coffee will be available. The month long event will end with a wrap-up party on Saturday, December 3, from 2-5 pm in Meeting Room 1. Refreshments will be served at both parties.

The write-ins will be held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 11/1 3-7pm in Room 3
  • Monday 11/7 5-9pm in Room 3
  • Thursday 11/17 3-7pm in Room 2
  • Monday 11/28 5-9pm in Room 1
