Contributions to the Library

One of the largest nonprofit volunteer organizations of its kind in New Jersey, the East Brunswick Friends of The Library has been recognized by the United Way for its unwavering commitment to supporting library programs, services, and equipment. Created in 1967 with the opening of The Library, the Friends provides funds that enable The Library to offer the “extras” that go beyond the boundaries of its budget. Those funds come largely from membership dues and proceeds from its biggest fundraiser: Every March, people come from all over to shop at the one of the largest events of its kind in the region, the Friends’ weeklong Bargain Book and Media Sale held at Brunswick Square Mall.
