How to Raise a Healthy Child in a Toxic Food Environment

How to Raise a Healthy Child in a Toxic Food Environment

The workshop will include discussions about:
  • Helping your child achieve a healthy diet and weight through nutrition;
  • How to deal with your child's obesity;
  • Helping your child cope with teasing and bullies; and
  • Developing skills in your role as 'gatekeeper' and 'coach.'

Fee is $10.00 per participant.

Pre-registration is a must. Participants may register by calling 732-390-6782 or via email to dmcauley@ebpl.org. Payment may be made by cash, check or credit card and must be made at the time of registration. Checks should be made out to the East Brunswick Public Library.

Enjoy a multi-media presentation on the “Ephrussi Family, a grand banking family with roots as grain merchants in Odessa, Russia who emigrated to Paris and Vienna.

As rich and respected as the Rothschilds, the family “burned like a comet” in nineteenth century Paris and Vienna. A panel composed of Susan Lipstein, a librarian, Maryann Zolota and Peter Cancro, OLLI-RU instructors will focus on Charles Ephrussi in Paris during the late nineteenth century. His collection of netuskes forms the core of Edmund de Waal’s best seller, “The Hare with the Amber Eyes”. Charles is the gentleman in the top hat in Renoir’s “The Luncheon of the Boating Party”. All are welcome to this free event!
