The Library Celebrates National Reading Group Month By Kicking Off Online Book Club “Book Talk”

The Library Celebrates National Reading Group Month
By Kicking Off Online Book Club “Book Talk”
Book Talk is the Library’s new online community space for people who love to read and talk about books.
The East Brunswick Library kicks off National Reading Group Month by unveiling our new online book club “Book Talk,” the premiere community destination for people who love to read and talk about books.
Book Talk was created in mind for people who could not attend our in-library book discussions. The discussion will be the same as the in-library book discussion for any given month, usually a contemporary fiction or non-fiction title. Each month, a new book will be introduced and discussed. Questions will be posted throughout the month by the Discussion Leader to help get and keep the discussion going. You will also find related news, information, book recommendations and more.

For those that still prefer to come to an in-library discussion group, the Book Discussion Group meets once a month from September to June. The program is open to all and refreshments are served. It is an excellent opportunity for adults to talk and socialize with other like-minded adults. Copies of the book to be discussed are available at the Information Services Desk one month before the scheduled group meeting.

The next discussion for October will be the book “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy. The in-library group will meet on Wednesday, October 15th at 7:30 p.m. or Thursday, October 16th at 1:00 p.m.  November’s discussion will be the book “My Antonia” by Willa Cather. Please check the Book Discussion Group page on the library web site or the newsletter for topics, dates and times of future discussions.

The Book Discussion Group is generously sponsored by the East Brunswick Friends of the Library. For more information about the in-library discussion group or to participate in the online discussion group “Book Talk,” please go to The Library’s website at http://www.ebpl.org, click on “Great Books and Films,” and then navigate to “Library Reading Services – Book Discussion Group.”
