Come to The Friends Community Yard Sale
Sign up for a table and sell, or come by for some great finds! Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

They say that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. “Treasure”-hunters and bargain-hunters alike will want to attend The Friends of the Library’s Community Yard Sale to find a few hidden gems on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Brunswick High School.

Refreshments will be sold and outdoor restrooms will be available. A charity truck will arrive at 1 p.m. to take away unsold items and provide a tax receipt.

Sign up for a table now: registration forms available at The Library and online at ebpl.org. Cost $20 for double space, additional single spaces for $10. (First come, first-served for spaces.) Email questions to: ebfriends@ebpl.org.

Hey teens! Come compete against your friends in the Library QuizUp Challenge! Bring your mobile device or play on the library iPads and prove to your friends once and for all who is the ultimate QuizUp Champion!  The QuizUp Challenge will be held in the Teen Space.

The East Brunswick Roots Project: Jews of Ukraine, Pre-WWII
Explore the history and culture of Jews in Ukraine. This presentation includes music on the piano and viola, as well as a vocal performance. Tuesday, April 29 • 7 p.m.

Examine the rich history and culture of the Jews of Ukraine prior to World War II and the legacy that has survived. Includes a look at surviving literature, the history of the Jews of a lost village and a performance of Jewish Ukrainian music of the period on voice, piano and a viola rescued from the Holocaust.

Presenters include: Glenn Dynner, PhD; Jack Solomon Berger, PhD; Tamara Freeman, PhD; Michael Kesler, PhD; Dave Schlossberg.

Generously funded by the East Brunswick Jewish Center; additional support by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities and the Middlesex County Cultural & Heritage Commission.
