Whether you’re hitting the road, relaxing by the pool or at the beach, or wondering how you’ll survive while the library is briefly closed for renovations this summer, EBPL’s Digital Resources are the solution!

EBPL’s Digital Resources allow you to access tens of thousands of titles from your PC or mobile device! EBPL’s Hoopla, eLibraryNJ, and RB Digital Magazines subscriptions allow you to borrow audiobooks, movies, eBooks, and eMagazines for on the go access.

The Digital Resources class will cover registering for and using HooplaeLibraryNJ, and RB Digital Magazines on the web and on mobile devices.

Courses will be held in the EBPL training lab:

At age 77, Mike Venus became the fourth oldest person to hike the entire Appalachian Trail. Mike will present a slideshow of photos he captured along the way and will discuss the history of the famous Trail; the process of preparing for the hike (including attendance at a boot camp); and factors that determine how likely one might be to succeed on the hike.

Our guest instructor Beth Ritter-Guth is the Director of Instructional Design and Director of American Honors at Union County College. Her use of innovative technology and virtual worlds in the teaching of literature has been recognized by the Chronicle of Higher Education, USA Today, America Online, and Wired Magazine.

The documentary is about the painting “Portrait of Wally,” an oil painting by artist Egon Schiele. The piece belonged to an Austrian art collector Lea Bondi Jaray, and was taken by the Nazis during World War II. This film chronicles the Bondi family’s struggle to reclaim the portrait.

“Portrait of Wally” was directed by Andrew Shea. It was a selection at several festivals, including the Tribeca Film Festival, AFI/Discovery Channel Silverdocs Documentary Festival and the Vancouver International Film Festival

This screening is co-sponsored by the Eat Brunswick Human Relations Council and the East Brunswick Arts Commission.

The movie screening is free and open to the public. “Portrait of Wally” is not rated and runs 92 minutes.

This is a program for teens and adults.

The bocce ball court is next to the Senior Center at 3 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive.
