
East Brunswick Public Library's building will be closed to the public for three-weeks, starting Monday, April 27 and reopening Monday, May 18. We are having a new HVAC system installed.
- Library staff at the Information Services, Youth Services, and Circulation Desks will be available by phone and email to provide uninterrupted service.
- Library operating hours will stay the same.
- All fines will be waived during the 3-week period and due dates extended.
- The library is a member of the STELLA consortium of 43 libraries. Book requests from other libraries can be made through the STELLA catalog and picked up at any member library.You may also visit and check out books from any STELLA library. Items other libraries in the consortium are subject to the lending library's circulation policies, including loan periods, automatic renewals and fines.
- Library newsletter will continue to be emailed weekly to all subscribers.
- No book donations are being accepted at this time.

- Services will be available by appointment only
- Appointments are available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Borrowing & Due Dates
- No fines will be charged during the building closure.
- Due dates for items coming due during the closure will automatically be extended.
- Library cards scheduled to expire during the closure will be extended through June 15.
Returns During the Closure
- Book drops will be closed.
- Please do not return materials to the East Brunswick Public Library during the closure.
- Feel free to continue enjoying your materials until we reopen.
- Materials may also be returned to any library in the STELLA consortium.
Pickup & Access
- Pickup lockers and curbside pickup will be closed during the building closure.
- Holds already placed, but not yet shipped, may be redirected to neighboring STELLA libraries.
Circulation Services Available
- Opening new library cards (requested online or by phone).
- Extending library cards that expired before the closure to June 15th.
- Resetting library card passwords.
- Searching the catalog for items available at other STELLA libraries.
- Placing holds for pickup at neighboring STELLA libraries.
- Changing pickup locations for current holds (not yet shipped).
- Making museum pass reservations for print-at-home passes.

- Registering for upcoming programs.
- Assisting with library platform apps on devices, i.e., desktop computer, laptop, smartphone, tablets, smart TVs.
