"On the History Trail" wins "Best Series Programming"

Last week the Jersey Access Group (JAG) announced the winners of the JAG 2009 Video Awards. EBTV programs were finalists in three of seven categories ("Best Sports" for EBHS Basketball coverage; "Best PSA" for "What's New at The Library"; and "Best Series" for "On the History Trail"). We are very pleased to announce that "On the History Trail" won "Best Series." The series is produced and hosted by East Brunswick Historian, Mark Nonestied; and produced, directed, and edited by EBTV Producer, Dave Ambrosy. The contest was judged by independent professionals in the film and television industries. Watch for "On the History Trail" on EBTV Sundays at 10 a.m.; Mondays at 12 p.m.; Tuesdays at 8 p.m.; and Thursdays at 7 p.m.

Join Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jo Ann Magistro and Chittick School Principal Mr. Stephen Decker as they discuss technology in our schools on May's edition of "Spotlight on Education." Mr. Decker was recently named Technologist of the Year by the New Jersey Association for Educational Technology (NJAET). "Spotlight on Education" may be seen Sundays at 6:30 p.m.; Mondays at 4:30 p.m.; and Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. & 8:30 p.m.

May’s "Totally East Brunswick with Mayor Stahl" features a conversation about the E.B. Environmental Commission. Members, Daphne Speck Bartynski and Richard Wolfert speak with Mayor Stahl about the Commission's activities in town. In the second half of the show, Mayor Stahl speaks with Regional V.P. for the American Cancer Society, Rob Eccles about East Brunswick's Relay for Life, to be held May 30.
