Kids entering kindergarten and up are invited to this special event! Meet Dr. Lauren Nieztke Adamo, the Director of the Rutgers University Geology Museum and one of the creators of the new picture book, My Friend Manny.
My Friend Manny tells the story of Manny the Mastodon, the huge Ice Age skeleton on display at the museum. Dr. Adamo will be sharing the details of how Manny's skeleton was discovered and brought to the museum, showing us some real fossils, and helping us understand what Manny's life was like. We'll also learn about how the book was created, spend some time making our own mastodon crafts, and of course we'll save time for questions! Copies of the book will be available for sale and autographs.
