Creating Your Library Website Account

When you enter your library card and PIN numbers in the login screen you are creating a Library Website Account.  This account will allow you to sign up for library events that require registration quickly and easily. It will also allow you to view a list of the events for which you have registered (My Events) and to edit your personal information or cancel your registration for an event should it become necessary for you to do so.


Creating Your Account

First Time Users:
Enter your library card and PIN numbers in the boxes on the login screen and click the Login button. This will initiate a confirmation process which checks to see if a valid East Brunswick Public Library card was entered.  Once the card number has been validated, you will be returned to the event sign up screen. 

The following fields on the registration form are required:

  • Your first name,
  • Your last name and
  • Your telephone number and/or email address.  (Valid contact information in either format is required in order that we might notify you of any event changes/cancellations, etc.  The email format is preferred for ease of notification.)

When you have completed the form and submitted it you will receive a confirmation of your registration by email or you may print out the confirmation receipt. 

Benefits of Logging in to Register

  • Once you have completed any event registration form for the first time and supplied the information listed above you will be able to quickly and easily register for other events simply by logging in with your library card and PIN Numbers. Your user information will automatically populate the registration form.
  • You will also be able see a list of all of the events for which you have registered.
  • You will be able to cancel your registration for an event online.

Non Library Cardholders

Events that are open to all

Many of The Library's events are open to the general public. However, they may require registration because there may be a limited number of spots available. Our online event registration feature requires that you create a library website account in order for us to manage this.

Events that are open to library cardholders only

You will not be able to sign up for an event that is limited to library cardholders only because that registration requires that you enter your valid East Brunswick library card and PIN numbers.

Computer training Classes

The Library's Computer Training Courses are open to non library cardholders for a fee.  Non cardholders must come to The Library Information Desk to register and pay the fee in person in order to sign up.

To sign up for an event you MUST supply the information listed below to the Information Desk staff.   

  • Your first name,
  • Your last name and
  • Your telephone number and/or email address.  (Valid contact information in either format is required in order that we might notify you of any event changes/cancellations, etc.  The email format is preferred for ease of notification.)

When you have completed the form and submitted it you will receive a confirmation of your registration by email or you may print out a receipt. 


How to Sign up for Events

Events that require registration due to limited room will be of two types: either open only to library cardholders (and/or fee-based) or open to all without restrictions.

Instructions for Registration for Events Open to Cardholders (or for a fee) only:

Cardholders:

  • Login: Click on the <Website Login> button on the green navigation bar above the menu.

  • Type in your library card and PIN numbers and click Submit or hit the <Enter> key. Your library card number will be validated and you will be taken to a page that lists all of the events for which you have registered. Now:

  • Find your event: Search The Library Calendar until you find an event that you would like to attend.

  • Sign up for an event: There will be a Sign Me up link if there is online registration for an event. Click on it.
  • Please fill out the the following fields on the registration form:
    1. Your first name,
    2. Your last name and
    3. Your telephone number and/or email address.  (Valid contact information in either format is required so that we might notify you of any event changes/cancellations, etc.  The email format is preferred for ease of notification.
    4. When you have completed the form and submitted it you will receive a confirmation of your registration by email or you may print out the confirmation receipt. 

*Note* Parents who are signing up preKindergarten children without their own library cards for an event:

  • Please use the Comments field to enter the name of your child. Only one child's name may be entered in this field per registration. If you would like to register another child you will need to register again.

Please be sure to fill out the form as completely and as accurately as possible. The information that you supply will enable you to log in to your website account via the Website Login button and see everything that you have signed up for.

Noncardholders (fee based events):

  • Noncardholders need to come in to The Library Information desk in person and pay. The Librarians at the desk will register them for events that are only open to them for a fee (such as the computer training classes).

Instructions for Registration for Events Open to All With No Restrictions:

Please note that for an accurate count of registrations, you can register for only one person with each registration. If you wish to register a second person you will need to fill out a separate registration form for that individual.

Cardholders:

  • Login: Click on the <Website Login> button on the green navigation bar above the menu.

  • Type in your library card and PIN numbers and click Submit or hit the <Enter> key. Your library card number will be validated and you will be taken to a page that lists all of the events for which you have registered. Now:

  • Find events: Go to The Library Calendar until you find an event that you would like to attend.

  • Sign up for an event: There will be a Sign Me up link if there is online registration for an event. Click on it.

  • You will then be taken to the event registration form where you need to fill out the the following fields:
    1. Your first name,
    2. Your last name and
    3. Your telephone number and/or email address.  (Valid contact information in either format is required so that we might notify you of any event changes/cancellations, etc.  The email format is preferred for ease of notification.
    4. When you have completed the form and submitted it you will receive a confirmation of your registration by email or you may print out the confirmation receipt.

Please note: Even though an event might be open to cardholders and noncardholders alike,The Library highly recommends that you use your library card and PIN numbers to register for an event. This ensures that when you want to go to the "My Events" page to see what you have signed up for, everything for which you have registered will appear.

Noncardholders:

  • Find events: Go to The Library Calendar until you find an event that you would like to attend.

  • Sign up for an event: Click on the Sign Me up link on the event.

  • Please fill out the the following fields on the registration form:

    1. Your first name,
    2. Your last name and
    3. Your telephone number and/or email address.  (Valid contact information in either format is required so that we might notify you of any event changes/cancellations, etc.  The email format is preferred for ease of notification.
    4. When you have completed the form and submitted it you will receive a confirmation of your registration by email or you may print out the confirmation receipt. 

Logout!!

Don't forget to protect your privacy and Logout when you are finished. There will be a Logout button on any Event Confirmation Screen and there is also a Website Login/Logout Button on the left side of the green navigation bar across the top of every page.
