A perennial favorite at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee, he has delighted audiences from Ireland to Indonesia with his appealing way with a story while accompanying himself on banjo. He won the Most Original Character award at the Philadelphia Mummers Parade and worked with that city’s Historic Philadelphia Inc. to create a colonial reenactment for the lauded “Once Upon a Nation” project.
