As a distinguished member of the Rutgers University staff, Dr. Gillespie was recognized by Rutgers University for Distinguished Contributions to Undergraduate Education at a ceremony hosted by Executive Dean Douglas Greenberg on May 5. His teaching is all about listening, questioning and being responsive. Dean Greenberg said Dr. Gillespie is a dynamic lecturer who fills his classes with a broad-stroke of historical panoramas with close attention to anecdote and detail.
