Songwriters-in-the-Round
Learn what makes professional musicians tick. Join singer-songwriter Kim Yarson and two very accomplished songwriters, Joe Iantosca and Jo Wymer, when they share their original creations in a Nashville-style in-the-round.

Get an inside look on what makes professional musicians tick and learn the stories behind some of their favorite songs during a Nashville-style in-the-Round on Thursday, July 8, at 7:30 p.m., at the East Brunswick Public Library. Join singer-songwriter Kim Yarson and two very accomplished songwriters, Joe Iantosco and Jo Wymer, as they showcase some of their original works, discuss the craft of songwriting and talk about their experiences in the music community. Musicians of all levels are invited to this free event, which will conclude with a raffle of items including a “Satisfied” T-Shirt. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the music.

Summer Reading Club at the East Brunswick Public Library
Join the East Brunswick Public Library’s Summer Reading Club and Make a Splash!
This year’s summer Reading Club will invite members to color fish during Fishy Fun on Thursday, July 1, from 10 to 11 a.m.; seek adventure during “High Sea Adventure Carnivals!” on Thursday, July 15, and Wednesday, Aug. 18; and spend the day at Crystal Springs on Wednesday, Aug. 4.

Computer Training at the Library
Register now for the East Brunswick Public Library’s latest computer class offerings. July features a new addition to our roster of classes - The 7 Essentials of Windows 7.
The 7 Essentials of Windows 7:
Registrants for this class will take a tour of the Windows 7 operating system and learn about some of its most exciting new features. You will explore the interface and learn about the great new tools available for managing your workspace. You will learn how to get better organized with Libraries, an exciting new Windows 7 feature and discover how to find anything faster with Windows Search. You will also see how to use the Library Staff favorite - Sticky Notes! Discover Jump Lists, Pinning, Snap, Aero Shake and more...
This is NOT a hands on class.
Other classes for July range from beginner to advanced. For beginners we have PC Literacy II, Email Basics Parts I and II, and Internet II and III. Once you have mastered those, choose from several Microsoft Office advanced classes. Classes are two hours long and limited to 12 students per class.

- Excel II, Saturday, July 24, at 9:30 a.m.

Registration is required. There is a $5 fee for cardholders and a $10 fee for non-cardholders. Fees will be added to a cardholder’s account and paid for at the Circulation desk. Adventure and comedy when Magic Jim comes to the East Brunswick Public Library

Come by and get your fix of adventure and fun when Magic Jim performs “The Pirates & the High Seas,” on Saturday, June 19, at 11 a.m. Join Magic Jim and his trusty sidekick, Doc the Croc, at the East Brunswick Public Library for an adventure filled with magic, humor, puppetry and lots of audience participation.
This free program is open to families with children of all ages. Just a reminder that you’ll need a ticket, so come by a half hour before the show and get yours!
