Flu Vaccines are coming to Middlesex County
The Middlesex County Office of Health Services is offering the seasonal flu vaccine at the EB Cultural Arts Center at 721 Cranbury Road on Friday, November 1st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Children at least 6 months of age up to their 18th birthday will also be offeredthis vaccination.

Chanty Jong shares her experience surviving Cambodia’s genocidal Khmer Rouge and her eventual escape and political asylum in the U.S. She relates her decade-long survival story, including her experience with Khmer Rouge policies, the Killing Fields, the children’s camp, the dangerous journey to freedom via a Thai refugee camp, two years of hiding underground and her capture and daring escape. Vegetarian Quick Start
Join Sue Rose and learn to make quick and easy vegetarian meals. Tuesday, Sept. 10 • 7 p.m.
Sue Rose Sue will focus on how to make quick and easy vegetarian meals using different cooking methods, and provide information on what to shop for along with menus and recipes. In addition, she will discuss basic nutrition and how this vegetarian diet can enhance physical and spiritual well-being.
Sue has been a vegetarian and has been meditating for over 40 years. She has been cooking and studying nutrition with an emphasis on finding healthy vegetarian alternatives for her family and friends. She has conducted numerous talks and workshops on the vegetarian diet and the vegetarian lifestyle around the world.

Defensive Driving Classes in August
Get a break on your insurance or points off your license. Monday, August 26 & Tuesday, August 27 • 6:30 p.m.
Erase your points, and save money on your car insurance by signing up for a NJ-approved two-evening class taught by an experienced police detective/accident investigator. Approved by the State of New Jersey, the course is taught by an experienced police detective-accident investigator. Participants must attend two consecutive evenings for credit. Course costs vary according to goal: for a 2 point reduction on your license, $65; for an insurance discount, $55. For both, the cost is $65. Attendance is mandatory and refunds cannot be given for partial attendance. Applications are available at the Circulation desk or online. Registration is required and seating is limited to 30 people.
