Reduce your risk of falling! Kessler Rehabilitation venter will lead a discussion of common causes that lead to fall and how to reduce your risk of falling. For those who are interested, we will perform and provide individualized Fall Risk Assessments who can be taken to you family physician. Bargain Prices on Cookbooks
Come by and purchase cookbooks for bargain prices this week at the Library. Tuesday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 6
Stop by the Library all week and pick up great cookbooks at bargain prices. Learn how to make international dishes, vegetarian meals, desserts and more. The inventory changes every day and proceeds go to benefit the Friends of the Library.

Don't forget, school board elections will be Tuesday, Nov. 5. Before you head to the polls though, learn more about this year's candidates for Board of Education. The candidates, Holly Howard, Brad Cohen, Curt Philipczak and Erum Shakir, are seeking three-year seats on the school board.

Rush Holt to Discuss Health Care Reform
Join U.S. Rep. Rush Holt and speakers from the Small Business Association and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a look at what Health Care Reform means for small businesses. Monday, September 30 • 9 a.m.
If you’re a small business owner with questions about Health Care Reform, then visit with U.S. Rep Rush Holt at the East Brunswick Public Library on Monday, Oct. 30, at 9 a.m.
Rep. Holt is inviting small business owners to his Small Business Health Insurance Options Program Workshop, during which speakers from the Small Business Association and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will discuss provisions of the Affordable Health Care Act that pertain to your small business. The workshop is designed to provide clear information on the SHOP, the new online health insurance marketplace where businesses of 50 or fewer employees can compare and purchase health insurance plans as well as potentially qualify for tax credits to help cover the cost of premiums.

Adult Music CD's No Longer Being Purchased
As of September 1, 2013 The Library has stopped purchasing adult music CDs.
The Library has carefully monitored circulation statistics and discovered that checkouts have dropped drastically over the past five years. The Library recognizes patrons are obtaining music in other formats, such as online streaming and iTunes downloads. The Library will retain its current music collection. Interlibrary loan will be available for music titles that The Library does not own

The Business Resource Center @ East Brunswick Public Library is hosting a FREE four-part tax workshop taught by IRS-trained accountants. Ira Whitman will present a portrait of modern-day Cuba, based on a recent people-to-people travel experience with The Johns Hopkins University Alumni Association. He and his wife, Audrey, were among those who have visited this country that seems to be suspended in the 1960s. The presentation includes an overview of the history, culture, economy and political system, accompanied by photos and discussion.
