This presentation will teach you about the current job market in this region; what research is telling us about the future job market; and how to use transferable skills you already have to fill the needs of the employers for your next job. José Obando Salsa Trio
Discuss and enjoy some great Salsa music Sunday, Oct. 19 * 2 p.m.,
The East Brunswick Public Library’s Roots Project continues in with “Nuyorican Origins of Salsa.” Enjoy a discussion and performance by the José Obando Salsa Trio. This free performance will focus on the origins of salsa among New York’s East Puerto Rican immigrants.
This program is made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the East Brunswick Arts Commission and the Friends of the Library.

Preserve your memories digitally
Covert your old media to DVD at the library Saturday, Oct. 25 * noon to 3 p.m
Do you have photos, slides, 8mm or 16 mm film or VHS tapes? Preserve these treasures by dropping them off at the East Brunswick Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 25, from noon to 3 p.m. Aging, humidity, acidification and accidental damage can ruin a lifetime of treasured memories. Drop your items off at the library and Digital Memory Media will have them converted to DVDs for a reasonable price, with 20 percent of the revenue going to the East Brunswick Public Library. Once scanned, patrons will be notified of a date and time to retrieve their newly created DVDs from the library.

Library Automation System Upgrade Completed Successfully
The library automation system is up and running after the upgrade was completed successfully.

Harper’s Escape returns to the library
Harpers from around the world will converge on the area. Of course, they're making a quick stop at the library! Sunday, Oct. 12 8 1:30 to 3 p.m.
The delicate sound of the harp can be soothing and wonderful. Just imagine what it will be like when more than two dozen harpers perform at the East Brunswick Public Library.

World Party! Discussion Group
Celebrate multicultural authors with at our next World Party! Monday, Oct. 20 * 7:30 p.m.
Short stories are popular the world over - so join us for a new discussion group with a focus on multicultural authors and stories. Every other month we'll be meeting to discuss an individual story. 20 and 30somethings Table Top Game Night is a night of fantastic table top gaming exclusively for 20 and 30somethings! Bring your own game or play one provided by the library. Snacks will be provided!

Saturday Senior Socials
Seniors and their caregivers are welcome! Saturday, Oct. 11 * 2 p.m.
Galina Markovich, an adult nurse practitioner, will lead this new series that will give seniors and their caregivers a chance to mingle and have some fun. Refreshments will be served.
