Geocaching - a Modern Day Treasure Hunt Wednesday
This presentation will introduce people to the activity known as "geocaching," a modern day treasure hunt with over three million geocaches hidden across the world on Wednesday, November 8 at 7PM.
We'll show you how the game is played, understand the challenges involved, learn a little geocaching lingo, and hear about the geocaching community's well-established environmental policies and activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring their children along for the presentation, as geocaching is a family-friendly affair that provides a great way for parents to bond with their children in the great outdoors.
Steve and Jessica Godun are a father-daughter team who have been geocaching under the username “JessicasDaddy”. They are active geocachers with hundreds of finds and about a dozen hides to their credit. They are also the creators and caretakers of the official ten-cache geotrail at
Plainsboro Preserve in Cranbury, NJ.
The award-winning Option Green lecture series is co-sponsored by the East Brunswick Friends of the Environmental Commission.
