Have you ever wanted to grow your own potatoes? The EB Grow Seed Library has some spuds just for you!

Library users can check out a blend of fingerling seed potatoes. Each bag weighs roughly eight ounces. The potato bag does not count to library user’s garden seed pack limit; however, users are limited to one bag per household. To place your request, fill out our online form at www.ebpl.org/ebgrow.

The EB Grow seed library is an initiative of the East Brunswick Public Library and the Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission.

The library hosts local NASA Solar System Ambassador Isaac Osores on Wednesday, August 4 at 7:00 pm. He will discuss celestial events that can be seen during August and how to use the EB Create telescopes that East Brunswick Public Library cardholders can use.  

The final program on this series is on Thursday, August 5 at 7:00 pm, with world traveler Chris McCormack sharing information about exploring the US National Parks and how to camp across America for free.

Let's Help You Explore The Outdoors!

With summer on the way, everyone is returning to the great outdoors. To help you plan your summer fun, we're hosting several virtual programs covering everything from fishing to parks to hiking.

The first program in the series is a virtual introduction to hiking. Northeast Mountain Guiding president and owner Joey Vulpis shares the basics of hiking on Tuesday, July 27 at 7:00 pm. He will explain the ten essentials of hiking, the equipment you need to bring, search and rescue considerations, and proper trail etiquette.  

Steven Adamo, Jr (known as “The Line Cook”) will talk about fishing in New Jersey, both fresh and saltwater, during a special program on Wednesday, July 28.
