Let's Help You Explore The Outdoors!
With summer on the way, everyone is returning to the great outdoors. To help you plan your summer fun, we're hosting several virtual programs covering everything from fishing to parks to hiking.
The first program in the series is a virtual introduction to hiking. Northeast Mountain Guiding president and owner Joey Vulpis shares the basics of hiking on Tuesday, July 27 at 7:00 pm. He will explain the ten essentials of hiking, the equipment you need to bring, search and rescue considerations, and proper trail etiquette.
Steven Adamo, Jr (known as “The Line Cook”) will talk about fishing in New Jersey, both fresh and saltwater, during a special program on Wednesday, July 28. Adamo discusses the countless different species of fish you can catch all over this amazing state. In addition, the presentation shows how, when and where to go fishing year-round.
The library hosts local NASA Solar System Ambassador Isaac Osores on Wednesday, August 4 at 7:00 pm. He will discuss celestial events that can be seen during August and how to use the EB Create telescopes that East Brunswick Public Library cardholders can use.
The final program on this series is on Thursday, August 5 at 7:00 pm, with world traveler Chris McCormack sharing information about exploring the US National Parks and how to camp across America for free.
These programs are held online using the Zoom platform. To learn more about these upcoming events, go online to www.ebpl.org/calendar or call 732-390-6767.
