The Library Isn’t Just Books…Visit the Wall and Display Case Exhibits During the Month of July
Landscape Art, LEGOs and Floral Design
Elena Lobovikova, Artist
An architect by profession, Elena Lobovikova considers art and painting her hobby. According to Elena “Nature is an ideal perfection.” Her exhibit, “Four seasons of the Year,” captures the wonderful colors and expressions of nature in rich pastels. Located on the walls throughout the Library, her beautifully-expressive artwork is matted, framed, and available for sale. Please inquire at the information desk for prices and availability.
The East Brunswick Garden Club, Floral Design
The East Brunswick Garden Club presents their artfully-designed floral displays in their exhibit “Red, White and Bloom” located in the display case at the front of the Library. The exhibit also features educational information, such as “Designing for Independence: A History of Floral Design in Early America.” There are also brochures with membership information available for anyone who is interested in becoming a member of the garden club.
Viraj Desai, LEGOs Display
9-Year-Old East Brunswick Viraj Desai’s exciting and intricate LEGO creations are featured in the main display case located in Youth Services. Although he counts sports and computer games as his hobbies, his favorite hobby by far is building LEGO creations. According to Viraj, “LEGOs are great to do any day, whether is sunny or raining outside. I really love building LEGOs!”
Don’t forget that you too can impress us with your original LEGO creations at the LEGO Mania Design Event on July 28 at 10:30 am. Registration is required, and judges will award prizes. For more information, please contact Youth Services.
