Become a Fan of the Library on Facebook
The Library has joined the social networking movement. Get connected and receive new information and updates on programs and events.
The East Brunswick Public Library is excited to announce that they have joined the social network movement and have implemented a Facebook page. Having a Facebook page is a natural development for The East Brunswick Library, already known to be a forward-thinking organization. The Library’s page is titled “East Brunswick Public Library” and can be easily accessed by executing a Facebook search and clicking on the “Become a fan” link.
Having a Facebook presence enables the Library to interface with their community on a whole new level. Fans can instantly receive notification whenever new information is published or added to the page. Get the latest news, announcements, and changes or additions to programs and events simply by checking your email, visiting the Library’s page or viewing your own Facebook home page news feed.
If you are already a member of Facebook, simply type in the phrase “East Brunswick Public Library” and click on the “become a fan” link. If you haven’t joined yet, simply go to www.facebook.com and register for your free page. Registration is short and fairly easy.
By joining Facebook, you become connected to everyone in your community, as well as the world. Your profile can be as open or as restricted as you like, so everyone or only people you allow can see your personal information and pages. Once you become a Facebook member, you have access to a large number of options and applications to make it your personal home on the web, including photo albums, music playlists, games, surveys, discussion boards, calendars and events. You can even make your own groups on whatever topics you'd like! It’s also great way to meet people and reacquaint yourself with old friends!
Founded in February 2004, Facebook is a social utility that helps people communicate more efficiently with their friends, family and coworkers. Anyone can sign up for Facebook and interact with the people they know in a trusted environment.
