The Friends of the Library Announce Their Upcoming Winter Trips and Events

The East Brunswick Friends of the Library announce their upcoming winter trips and events schedule.
Wednesday, February 25 • 7 p.m.
Michael Rockland, author of eleven books, will discuss his latest book, “The George Washington Bridge: Poetry in Steel.” Mr. Rockland is a professor of American Studies at Rutgers and has worked in film and television production. Enjoy his discussion on the adventures he encountered while writing his interesting and dynamic history of this national landmark.

Thursday, March 5 • 9 a.m. • 5 p.m.
Bus departs at 9 a.m. from the parking lot next to K-Mart (behind the former Levitz Furniture Store) and returns approximately 5 p.m. Cost is $50/Friends member or $56/non-member, includes bus, show admittance, bus snack and gratuities. This trip always sells out fast, so re¬serve your spot on the trip ASAP. Mark your calendars now—this is the big one that everyone looks forward to! Opening day is March 23rd at 10 a.m.; sale continues through March 29 during mall hours. Volunteers are needed throughout the week, but especially for setup on March 22nd and cleanup on March 30. It’s easy to volunteer. If you are already a Friends’ member, a “call for volunteers” postcard will be mailed to you. Simply indicate your choice(s) of dates/times and return the preaddressed cards. You can also pick up a volunteer postcard either at the circulation desk or on the website at
