Thursday, March 4th from 7 to 8 p.m.

If you’re a fan of movies or books, then you’ll want to meet James T. Fisher, author of “On the Irish Waterfront,” on Thursday, March 4, from 7 to 8 p.m., at the East Brunswick Public Library. Dr. Fisher will recount the story of one of Hollywood’s all time classic movies, Elia Kazan’s “On the Waterfront,” and how it tells the story of the world’s most profitable harbor and the betrayal and redemption it faced in both real life and behind the scenes. His book depicts the quintessential gangster era that infiltrated the New York and New Jersey waterfront in the 1900’s and the demise of its empire in the 1950’s. Come and enjoy this provocative and informative program. Sponsored by the Friends of The Library.
