Learn which candidate the Electoral College favors in the 2012 Presidential Election when Gerald Pomper, Ph.D., Board of Governors, Professor of Political Science at the Eagleton Institute of Politics of Rutgers University, visits the Library. The Electoral College was a major compromise written into the Constitution and affects every presidential race as campaigns are geared more towards electoral votes than individual votes. Dr. Pomper will analyze the possible effect the Electoral College will have on the 2012 race. He’ll also discuss whether the system is still good for the country. This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
