FREE Tax Workshops for Businesses

These FREE workshops will focus on helping new business owners or individuals. September 10 through October 9

The Business Resource Center @ East Brunswick Public Library is hosting a FREE four-part tax workshop taught by IRS-trained accountants.  The focus is to help new business owners or individuals understand and meet federal tax obligations.  Pre-registration is required. Lesson 1, Sept. 18  • 10 a.m. to noon

This lecture is for everyone, no matter what kind of business you have or whether you have employees.

  • What You Need to Know to run a home-based business

Lesson 3, Oct. 2  • 10 a.m. to noon
This lecture is for employers who already have, or who are thinking about hiring, employees.

  • How to Set Up a Retirement Plan for You and Your Employees
  • What You Need to Know about Federal Taxes when Hiring Employees or Independent Contractors


Lesson 4, Oct. 9  • 10 a.m. to noon

This lecture is for employers who already have, or who are thinking about hiring, employees.
 

  • How to Manage Payroll and employee withholdings
  • How to Make Tax Deposits & File a Return/Report Payroll Taxes
  • Hiring People Who Live in the U.S. but Who Aren't U.S. Citizens
