Save Money On Your Passport Before Rate Increase At East Brunswick Public Library
An increase mandated by the Department of State for any passport application submitted to an authorized agent, including the US post office, government office or authorized agent like East Brunswick Public Library, goes into effect on April 2.
If you are planning to get a new United States passport, you can save $10 by submitting your application at the East Brunswick Public Library before Monday, April 2.
The cost of a passport’s execution fee is rising from $25 to $35. The fee increase is mandated by the Department of State for any passport application submitted to an authorized agent, including the US post office, government office or authorized agent like East Brunswick Public Library.
“With the impending fee increase coming next month, this is a great reason to apply for your passport early,” said Karen Violand, the library’s Passports Supervisor. “We’re approaching the busy season, as many of our customers are planning trips abroad. It’s a great time to beat the rush and save money.”
The library began offering passport services in the summer of 1999. The services has been popular; 8,003 first time passport applications were submitted in 2017.
East Brunswick Public Library offers convenient hours to fit anyone’s schedule. Passport applications can be submitted at the library Monday through Thursday (from 10 am to 8:30 pm), Friday and Saturday (from 9 am to 4:30 pm), and Sunday (from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm).
