Library Features: What's New @ The Library
Where are the jobs?? If you aren’t hearing back from potential employers, your RESUME might be the problem.
The Resume Review Session by the Library's Business Resource Center has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. because of the Library's snow closing. Pre-registration is required.
You need a resume that portrays your skills, talents, career highlights and makes you stand out from the crowd. Don’t allow the competition to win YOUR spot for an interview. Make sure your resume and cover letter show your confidence, experience, contributions and accomplishments.
If you are not getting all the interviews you want, call upon the resume experts of the Business Resource Center to help you develop an effective cover letter and resume. During your 1 ½ hour resume review session you will learn how to highlight your strengths to any potential employer.
Make an appointment now if you feel:
- An HR representative will lose interest after a 15-second scan of your resume.
- Your resume lacks a professional appearance.
- You are struggling with formatting and wording.
Registration is limited. To schedule your appointment for January 20, 2011, you must come into the Library Business Resource Center prior to that date with a copy of your resume; cover letter and payment of $75 (check made payable to EBPL, credit card or cash.) We will then set the appointment time with you.
