Registration for the Library'popular Reading/Math Buddies program has been reopened for a limited time. This popular program matches struggling students in grades 1 to 6 with Teen Buddies to practice reading or math skills. The Library will assign partners, and the parent and teen volunteer will set a mutually agreeable schedule. Meetings must take place in The Library.
Please note: any child who is currently an active participant in the Reading/Math Buddies program or who has completed the program within the last three months will not be eligible to register at this time.

2011 Phyllis Noar Puppetry Festival
Get your tickets now for this year's Phyllis Noar Puppetry Festival, to take place on Sunday, Sunday, Feb. 27.
It's almost that time again! Come to the East Brunswick Public Library and get your tickets now for the 2011 Puppetry Festival. Held over two weekends, the festival is guaranteed to entertain and delight children of almost any age. On Sunday, February 13, join the Spring Valley Puppet Theatre as it performs "Three Wishes," and then the Aesop Fable, "The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing." Return on Sunday, February 27, when the Catskill Puppet Theater presents "Sister Rain and Brother Sun." This musical performance encourages audience participation and features a talking sun that measures seven feet in diameter. Those who attend will meet Mother Nature, Farmer Mcgreedy, Little Bear and beautiful, glistening Sister Rain. Tickets are$3 and on sale at the Circulation Desk now. Both shows will be held 1:30 p.m. and at 3:30 p.m. This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Library.
The February 27 show is restricted to families with children 3 years old and up. Younger children will not be admitted into the show.
