|Learn how to download free ebooks and downloadable audiobooks from the library’s growing collection and other free resources online. Class will be held Monday, April 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. Attendees will also learn how to transfer ebooks to some of the major ereader devices including the Barnes and Noble Nook and Sony Reader and find out how you can listen to audiobooks on many of the most popular mobile devices like the iPhone, iPod, Blackberry and Android phones. Please note that the Kindle ereader is not compatible with library ebooks due to the manufacturer’s restrictions.
NOTE: Due to software restrictions attendees will not be able to transfer downloadable books to the devices inside the library. The instructor will demonstrate the steps and attendees will receive printed instructions for following the directions on their home computer.
Prerequisites:Students should have intermediate Internet skills. For library cardholders only.
Please take your commitment seriously. Remember, your registration locks out someone else. If you cannot attend, you MUST call 732-390-6767 at least 24 hours before class time or cancel your registration online. If you do not attend and fail to cancel, the $5 registration fee is nonrefundable and will be charged to your library account. Customers with fines exceeding $5 will have a blocked library card until the fine is paid.
