Attend Professional Business Courses at the East Brunswick Public Library
Sign up now for the East Brunswick Public Library’s latest business class offerings. May courses include: Developing a Business Plan and Introduction to QuickBooks, Level 1, II and III. Sign up for June class Developing a Marketing Plan. Register today!
Learn the business of running a business from professionals during two new courses at the East Brunswick Public Library’s Business Resource Center. Run in partnership with Middlesex County College, the Business Resource Center is offering Developing a Business Plan, and Developing a Marketing Plan. Each program will run for five consecutive Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and will be taught by MCC instructors.
Developing a Business Plan
Developing a Business Plan begins May 4. Those who attend will develop a comprehensive business plan, including business goals, financial projections, market research, personnel and product or service development. For more information see the event listing in the library website calendar.
Developing a Marketing Plan
Develop a Marketing Plan begins June 8. Those who attend will learn how to identify strategies for conducting market research; what a market plan contains, including target market, competition, product/service, marketing budgets, location, pricing strategy and promotional strategy; how to prepare a marketing plan outline; and how to develop an effective marketing strategy, including advertising and promotional strategies. Registration
Preregistration is required and there is a $175 fee for each course. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. Make checks payable to the East Brunswick Public Library and send an application to the East Brunswick Public Library, Business Resource Center, 2 Civic Center Drive, East Brunswick, N.J. 08816. There will be no refunds for cancellations after three days before class. Cancellations can only be made by calling 732-390-6777 or by e-mailing Ellen Donohue at edonohue@ebpl.org.
The next round of QuickBooks training classes is also scheduled to begin in early May.
The dates are:
- QuickBooks Level 1 on May 4th, Wednesday from 10 – 2
- QuickBooks Level 2 on May 18th, Wednesday from 10 – 2
- QuickBooks Level 3 on June 1st, Wednesday from 10 – 2
These three classes comprise an introduction to the popular small business financial software and are designed for individuals who are just starting out with QuickBooks. The classes are NOT for beginners! They are for business people who have a working knowledge of the Windows environment. They are being offered as a multipart series; however, each class costs $50 and must be registered for individually. The registration forms are linked in each event in the website calendar.
