The NetLibrary name and platform is retiring. Starting in the first few weeks of July this collection of informational non-fiction ebooks will be called "eBooks on EBSCOhost." A new login page will be available in the coming weeks, but customers can view the preview site now. Just go to www.netlibrary.com and click on Preview eBooks today. Please note, that this is only a preview site and does not include the library’s entire collection of ebooks or the ability to download titles which will be available in the final version.

When the transition from NetLibrary to EBSCOhost is completed, all customers with existing NetLibrary accounts will need to create a new user account with eBooks on EBSCOhost. EBSCOhost has told us that all existing data, including holds and current checkouts will not transfer to the new user accounts. If you have a book checked out at the time the transition takes place, you will need to check the book out again on the EBSCOhost site. The good news is that users will no longer have to come into the library to create a new account. The Library will send an email to all existing NetLibrary account holders reminding them to create their new account after the new EBSCOhost site goes live. You may create a new account now on the EBSCOhost website, but will not be able to view ebooks on the site until the transition is complete.

Just like NetLibrary ebooks, EBSCOhost ebooks are compatible with most of the popular ereaders and mobile devices, except for the Amazon Kindle. The Library will offer classes on how to use this new service throughout the summer. Please visit our calendar of events at http://www.ebpl.org for the class schedule and further updates about this transition.
