TeleCirc Notification System to Be Implemented for Library Requests and Overdue Notices

Coming in August

Good News

Coming in August the library will be transitioning customers who receive their requests and overdue notices by U.S. Postal mail to a new automated telephone messaging delivery system called TeleCirc.

Because of the fast delivery of request notification by telephone and email, all holds will now be held for pick-up for 4 days before expiration.

TeleCirc will also allow all customers to call the automated service 24 hours a day to hear if they have any holds to pick-up, to renew their library items, to listen to the titles of items on loan, and to hear account balance information.

TeleCirc will be quicker and more convenient for customers and will substantially save postage and paper costs for the library. At this time, the library cannot offer telephone messaging notification to customers currently receiving email notification due to a limited number of phone lines and budget constraints. Customers currently receiving U.S. Postal mail can switch to email notification instead.

If you have used the Library Anywhere app you know it’s a great tool that allows mobile library users on-the-go access to library collections and services.

With the latest version of the app, users can register for library events and add events to a personal online calendar such as Google or Outlook. Also, included is a link to our Downloadables collection where users can search for and download thousands of ebooks and downloadable audiobooks. The app also provides easy access to your list of checkouts and materials requests with the My Account feature. Simply login with your barcode and PIN to see your list of checkouts or to renew items directly through the app. Use the new Contact Us button to communicate with any library department. The Library Anywhere app is currently available for download on Android and Apple devices.
