Join a panel of experts to discuss Mutual Funds, Rule of 72, Credit, and the Housing Market. Thursday, November 7 • 7 p.m.

Join our financial panel of experts, Robert M. Scherzer, CFP, CRPC: Vice President – Investments, Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC; Angie Tsirkas, Vice President, Business Development Officer, Northfield Bank; Ellen McHenry, Sr Director, Financial Programs, UCEDC a nonprofit economic development corporation; Stanley M. Perlman, Investment Advisor Representative, Division Leader, Primerica Financial Services Inc. ; and Beverly Lyons, Sales Associate, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, for a lively discussion of:

  • Mutual Funds: Saving in general or a specific purpose? Evaluate a mutual fund using resources available at the Business Resource Center, and determine whether it is the right one for you.
  • Rule of 72: The simple math of how compounding over time works. Calculate how much you will have in the future depending on rate of return (interest rate) and how long you invest.
  • Credit and You: Learn about establishing and maintaining your credit.
  • The Housing Market Today: Is this the right time to buy or sell a home.

Get Your Tickets now for this year's What's It Worth. Tickets for two appraisals are $10. Sunday, November 3 • 1:15 p.m.

Come to everyone’s favorite “Antiques Road Show” and learn to tell how much that family heirloom or treasured possession is worth. Attend What’s it Worth on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 1:15 p.m., and learn how to get the best price for your collectibles and get a chance to have your items appraised by Joe Bodnar from Bodnar’s Auction Sales. Tickets to get two appraisals are $10 and are on sale at the library now. Attendance is free, but for those wanting appraisals for their items, tickets are $10 (no weapons please).
