East Brunswick Public Library regularly displays the work of local artists. This time, the library is showcasing art somewhere else—on its library cards.

As part of the library’s fiftieth-anniversary celebration, East Brunswick Public Library unveiled three new library card designs. These cards feature art that was submitted to the library through a contest in late 2016.

“We were impressed by not only the number of submissions we received but also with the creativity shown by our local artists of all ages,” said Jennifer Podolsky, Library Director. “There were so many great submissions, and it was hard for our judges just to choose three.”

The judging panel consisted of members of the library’s Board of Trustees, Friends of the East Brunswick Library and the East Brunswick Public Library Foundation. The cards feature artwork from three area children—Kaleigh Duffy, Dylan Ing and Ruqaya Tapya.

The three winning designs are available in both traditional sized library cards as well as key chain tags. Information on how to get a library card from the library can be found here
