What's New in Lung Cancer

03/28/2017 | 07:00PM - 08:30PM

Meeting Room 3

Just for the Health of It

Come to this workshop presented by experienced oncologist Bruno S. Fang, MD to learn about lung cancer and the incredible progress that has been made over the last 5-10 years. This educational program is for patients, families, friends and those looking to learn more about lung cancer. New lung cancer treatments will save thousands of lives over the coming years. But knowing your risk of developing lung cancer — and taking the appropriate preventative actions — will have a greater impact than any treatment.

At this special event, Dr. Bruno Fang, medical oncologist, will detail the latest treatment, prevention and risk assessment protocols for lung cancer. Learn how you can stop this aggressive form of cancer before it takes control.

Dr. Fang will discuss the following topics, among others:

  • Incredible breakthroughs in lung cancer treatment over the past decade, including immunotherapy and other targeted therapies
  • Lung cancer risk — even in nonsmokers — and how family members can stay healthy despite elevated risk
  • Prevention and screening protocols, including low-dose CT scans that can reduce the risk of death in high risk populations

Registration is preferred. Please call (908) 658-5400 or visit

Walk-ins are welcome.

Refreshments will be served.

Sponsored by Regional Cancer Care Associates, Cancer Support Community, and the Library's Just for the Health of It! initiative to promote community health and wellness.
