Author and historian Michael Gabriele will present a lecture on “The History of Diners in New Jersey” on Thursday, November 15th at 7:30 pm in at the East Brunswick Public Library, 2 Civic Center Drive.
Gabriele will discuss the roles diners have played in the state’s culture and industry for more than 100 years, making New Jersey the “Diner Capitol of the World” and the hub of diner manufacturing. Along with tales of noteworthy diners of the past and present, the book contains first-hand interviews with owners and patrons, over 75 photos, and scans of vintage postcards and rare photo prints.
Copies of his book will be available for purchase following the presentation.
This presentation is part of the EB Friends of the Library's Fall General Meeting.
