For teens interested in participating in this year's Congressional App Challenge.
At this event we'll meet others interested in the challenge, find partners or group members to work with, and toss around ideas for apps we'd like to invent.
The Congressional App Challenge is an annual district-wide competition hosted by members of Congress.
It invites students to create an app of their choice on whatever they are passionate about, whether it is a game or a tool, on whatever platform they would like.
The Winning District App will be featured on the House of Representative's website and displayed in the capitol.
The meetings at the library does not include instruction in app creation. Teens who attend can find others to work with and get peer advice. Teens can use the library resources to create their app and film their entry videos.
Past winner Kayla Leung will be on hand to give advice and perspective on the competition.
