Two hundred years ago, greed and ambition led to the forced deportation of nearly 150 residents from our area. But only for the color of their skin, were they consigned to a life of cruel & permanent slavery. Two hundred years later, we honor their lives & stories. Music, Performances & Special Events Display & Discussion of the Lost Souls Public Memorial Project This event is funded, in part, by an Incubation Grant from the NJ Council for the Humanities. This event is supported by The Unitarian Society, New Brunswick Area Branch of the NAACP, Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society - NJ Chapter, Sons & Daughters of the US Middle Passage Society, East Brunswick Human Relations Council and East Brunswick Senior Center.
