BRC, Job Search
Our Career Connections librarians will show you how to conduct a successful job search with the Plan, Prepare, Succeed model created by the New Jersey Department of Labor. Learn how to get into the right frame of mind to begin your quest for the perfect job. Librarians will cover the full cycle of a job search. This includes overcoming obstacles; setting your career goals; finding real-time job openings; and directing you on where to get more in-depth help to create a resume or cover letter, practice for a job interview, or obtain training and special services provided by the Middlesex County One-Stop Career Center.
Presenter Sonal Shukla is a New Jersey Career Connections librarian and information specialist with experience in the fields of pharmaceuticals, healthcare, business and publishing. She holds a Master of Library Science degree from Rutgers University and a Consumer Health Information specialization from the Medical Library Association. She will provide tips and tricks from her own experience as both a job candidate and hiring manager.
The Path to Employment is a New Jersey Career Connections workshop.
