Gertrude Berg, as Molly, was the creative force behind a ‘Goldbergs’ media empire who became the second most admired woman in the country. (Eleanor Roosevelt was first.) With 1940’s anti-Semitism rampant, US WWII propaganda highlighted her Jewish series as “followed and loved by millions.” She raised millions of dollars selling war bonds and supporting the war effort.
Dr. Marcia Midler, a featured speaker for many organizations, will present the story of this famous writer, performer and beloved media character who remains largely unknown today.
