Gilded Age Etiquette Program Tonight

Gilded Age Etiquette Program Tonight
Since the television show Downtown Abbey debuted nearly a decade ago, audiences worldwide have been paying more attention to etiquette. Expert Mary Harris examines this topic in the program "Everyday Etiquette from the Gilded Age to Today" on Thursday, September 19 at 7:00 pm.

Her program shows how etiquette has changed since the time of Downton Abbey, and why some manners are still--and some are not--important today. Harris has been an etiquette educator since 2004, offering specialized training at colleges and businesses.
"I'm committed to making etiquette, formerly perceived as outdated in today's society, relevant in today's culture," she said.
Harris is the founder of Mary Harris Events, an event production where she designs and produces events in unique locations for corporate and social clients.  Her early love of gracious entertaining led her to launch her first business, a full-service catering company.
Her work has also appeared in several media outlets, including WPIX 11 Morning News, the Knot Magazine, Tribune Chronicle, NJ Biz, News 12 New Jersey and the Press of Atlantic City. Harris is also a food stylist for print and film projects.
