Items checked out prior to March 16, 2020 are due back by July 31. Please return items at our outdoor book drops Monday 8:30 am - Saturday 7:30 pm (closed Sunday). Fines for items returned after July 31 will be waived until the library building reopens. Lendable kits cannot be returned at book drops. You will be contacted by library staff for information on returning these items.

We've made it easier than ever for East Brunswick residents to get a library card. You can now apply for your library card online. We will send you your library barcode within two business days, letting you take advantage of our online resources. You will receive your physical library card in the mail within seven days. In the meantime, check out some of the great services that you get with your new library card that go beyond books!

  • Hundreds of thousands of eBooks, audio books, movies, music albums, magazines and more through apps like Libby/eLibrary NJ, RIB Digital, Kanopy and Hoopla Digital.
  • Admission to several of the most popular museums in our area including the Museum of Modern Art, Insectropolis and the Guggenheim Museum.
  • A wide variety of online resources from home, including Consumer Reports, homework help from, investment research with Value Line, continuing education from Universal Class and many more.
  • Lendable creativity and technology kits, ranging rom a GoPro camera to a telescope from our EB Create makerspace.

By applying for a library card online, you are agreeing (for yourself or your child/guardianship) to abide by all rules and policies of the library. Current proof or residency must be provided when checking out library items for the first time at the Circulation Desk. Children under the age of 18 must also have authorization given by a parent or legal guardian at the time of first check out.
