Read books. Win prizes.
For teens going into grades 7-12 in September 2026.
Mark your calendars for Summer Reading 2026! Beginning June 26th, you can sign up for the summer reading program at the Teen Space or Youth Services desk and start earning points towards awesome prizes like popular YA books, squishy fidget toys, scratch art kits, and more. You'll also have a chance to win a grand prize!
How does it work?
- First, stop by the Teen or Youth Services desk to sign up. Then download the ReadSquared app and login with the username and password given to you at signup. (Paper logs available too, for old-school afficionados!)
- Earn 1 point for every day you read, even just for five minutes (audiobooks and comics count, too!)
- Earn 1 point for every teen event you attend (check the event calendar to see which events are eligible!)
- Earn additional points through themed challenge missions!
- Every 10 points, earn a prize and raffle ticket for a grand prize of a gift card to a local business such as Magnifico's or AMC theaters.
- After 100 points, keep earning raffle tickets for every 10 points!
What counts as reading?
Literally anything! Read a book, magazine, or newspaper. Listen to an audiobook. Read a graphic novel or comic book. Read a picture book (on your own or to a younger sibling; we don't judge!).
