Concert: Old Bridge Symphonic Band
Today’s performance will take the audience on a musical journey around the world, including stops in England (Pastime With Good Company and Their Blossoms Down), Spain (La Virgen de la Macarena), Ireland (The Rakes of Mallow and The Last Rose of Summer), Egypt (Ballet Egyptien), Scotland (How to Train Your Dragon) and America (Metroplex, Summon the Heroes and Rhapsody for Eurphonium and Concert Band). We hope you enjoy our performance. Sit back and be ready to travel around the world musically.
The Old Bridge Symphonic Band includes musicians from in and around the Old Bridge area, who rehearse once a week and perform six to seven concerts a year. The band was formed initially as the Brookdale Community College Band in 1970 by our director emeritus, Joseph Kaschak. Musicians come from various backgrounds and vocations, some music teachers, but all who share in the enjoyment of making music and performing live concerts. New membership is always welcome and we hope you enjoy our performance.
