2025-2028
Goal One: Community
Ensure that the library offers inclusive programs that celebrate our uniqueness and similarities, recognizing that the library is home to all the people of East Brunswick. All races and ethnicities. All ages. All who are under-served and underrepresented. All genders and orientations. All points of view. All abilities.
Goal Two: Programming
Ensure that the library offers programs and services that foster connections by instilling kindness and inclusivity; inspiring curiosity and lifelong joy of learning; and empowering individuals to be informed, engaged citizens.
Goal Three: Collections & Services
Ensure that the library builds responsive collections and services across all age groups in diverse formats, languages, venues and abilities which support the library’s mission to promote literacy, lifelong learning, and personal fulfillment.
Goal Four: “Just for the Health of It” Initiative for Health Literacy
Ensure that residents have access to quality health information, resources, and services so that everyone has an equitable opportunity to live their healthiest life possible.
Goal Five: Library Staff
Ensure that library staff reflects the cultural diversity of the people we serve and is supported by a culture of open communication, mutual respect, safety and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Goal Six: Capital Improvements
Ensure that the library makes fiscally responsible decisions regarding capital improvements that enhance safety for staff and patrons; foster a comfortable environment; maintain a modern IT infrastructure; and demonstrate a commitment to environmental stewardship.
