Eleanor the Great

US. 2025. 98 minutes. Rated PG-13. Drama/Comedy.

When her roommate Bessie has a heart attack, 94-year-old Eleanor Morgenstein moves back to New York City to live with her daughter. During a visit to the local community center, she joins a support group, tells Bessie’s story instead of her own, and starts a chain of events that threatens her new-found friendships. June Squibb delivers an amusing yet poignant performance in Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut.
