Young Writers Group (Gr. 8-12)
Facilitated by TAG volunteer Myer, the Younger Writers Group is a monthly meeting space for aspiring authors of all genres - poetry, lyrics, fiction, nonfiction, short stories, and more! Attendees are encouraged to bring their writing implements of choice (e.g., pen and paper, laptop, etc.) as well as whatever writing project they've been working on recently.
Each session of the Young Writers Group will include a different group activity such as timed writing challenges, blackout poetry, and more. There will be time at the end for writers to share excerpts of their work with the choice of requesting only positive feedback, only constructive feedback, or a mix of both! Together, participants will hone their craft, encourage and inspire each other, and share tips and tricks on submitting work to literary magazines and publishers.
This group is for teens in grades 8 to 12; no registration is required to attend meetings.
